As a young lady Drea Mon’e discovered that she was talented in many areas and after writing a few songs, it helped her emotionally. . People were amazed at how when a beat (music) was playing she would have a hook or full concept of how the song should go before it would finish playing.

Andrea C., stage name Drea Mone’, grew up in Los Angeles, C A. She knew singing would be part of her life someday, and by the age of 6-7 years old, her family noticed that her love for singing had grown and encouraged Drea Mone’ to perform.
Her first talent show didn’t go well; in fact, she was so nervous and scared that she didn’t perform at all. Still a young girl waiting for her next opportunity, her mind was made up not be afraid. She’d began performing at smaller events, family functions, weddings, birthday parties and family reunions. After performing around her family Drea Mone’s courage to sing and perform grew as the aspiration to write was born. By age sixteen, while sitting at the bus stop going home from school, she wrote her first song and the feeling of expressing her feelings through poetry was amazing. To this day Drea Mone’ uses her music to express her feelings in her life and what’s going on around her in different situations. Through her music, she wants people of all ages and color to know that life is about making mistakes; and, growing from them to make yourself better than before. Being a single parent, Drea understands life and all its hardships. Being a cosmetologist by trade she has made it possible for Drea and her family to have a fulfilled and enjoyable life. Through trials and tribulations, and experiencing rejection after auditioning for American Idol and the X Factor, Drea is driven by her strength and determination to succeed.

Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Drea Mon’e (Andrea) knew she would one day touch the world with her music. At a young age Drea Mon’e always had a passion for writing and singing. As a young lady Drea Mon’e discovered that she was talented in many areas and after writing a few songs, it helped her emotionally. This gift of writing was different. People were amazed at how when a beat (music) was playing she would have a hook or full concept of how the song should go before it would finish playing. Singing for her family and close friends at special events and functions; even auditioning for American Idol and the X Factor, gave her the courage needed to persuade a career as a recording artist.
After becoming a single mother, Drea Mon’e still tried pursuing music, but after coming in contact with a few producers that didn’t have her best interest in mind, her dreams about being a singer started to fade. Although she never gave up hope, Drea started working as a cosmetologist in a local Hair Salon to make ends meet. The day-by-day struggle inspired more song writing and vocal lessons.
Overcoming show auditions, rejections, Drea has finally reached a point in her determination to move forward as a recording artist. The sultry soul singer released “You Ani’t The Man For Me” in taste of what’s to come from her debut album “Beautiful Butterfly”.
